The Ogun State Commissioner of Police Lanre Ogunlowo, has disclosed that the effective use of modern technology has drastically reduced the crime rate in the state.
CP Ogunlowo made the disclosure while featuring as a guest on National Standard Television (NSTV), Lagos, at the Abeokuta studio on Friday morning, adding that prompt attention, as well as collaboration among security agencies in terms of intelligence gathering and sharing have been yielding the desiring results.
The CP announced that a technology app will soon be introduced in the state that will involve resident participation in assisting security agencies in policing the state.
CP Ogunlowo acknowledged his predecessors’ efforts at building a good foundation in securing the state.
He assured investors of a secure environment and appreciated the residents and other security agencies for their contributions towards securing the state from criminal elements.
