OGUN TO COMMEMORATE 2025 DEMOCRACY DAY WITH PRAYER, SYMPOSIUM

Activities marking the 2025 Democracy Day in Ogun State is scheduled to commence with a special prayer next Thursday for the repose of the acclaimed winner of the annulled June 12 1993 election, Bashorun M.K.O Abiola at his Oja Agbo family house, Gbagura, Abeokuta starting by 8.00 a.m.

A release by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, indicated that the prayer session will be followed by a symposium during which a lecture titled “June 12: Electoral Reforms and Democratic Consolidation, Enhancing Voter’s confidence through Technology’’ would be delivered by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former Attorney- General/ Commissioner for Justice in Oyo State, Mr. Mutalubi Ojo Adebayo

Venue is the Hubert Ogunde Hall, June 12 Cultural Cetre, Kuto Aboukta starting by 10 a.m.

The release added that the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun will direct affairs at the event and urged all invited guests which include civil society groups and political activists to be seated by 9.30 a.m.
